These federal initiatives had mixed results and were largely unsuccessful at achieving larger social improvements in rural communities.  This edition illustrated by artists Angelina Beloff and Gabriel Fernández Ledesma, both associated with the muralist movement (Beloff through her marriage to Diego Rivera).
