A compilation of revolutionary socialist and antifascist songs, claiming to be the first such publication in Mexico. Includes lyrics and sheet music for translated standards like “La International,” and “La Marsellesa,” as well as lesser known songs written in part by editor José Pomar, such as “Contra la Guerra,” “Frente Popular,” and “Julio Antonio Mella.” Pomar was a composer and member of the Liga de Escritores y Artistas Revolucionarios as well as a founder of the Mexico City conservatory Escuela Nocturna de Música para Trabajadores y Empleados.
