Group of Spanish Science Fiction and Fantasy Fanzines.

Castellano sf and fantasy zines published in Spain were disseminated in comic shops and other bookstores in Latin America. This group is from an Argentinian fan collection.

Contents:

Kenbeo Kenmaro. Nos. 3, 5, 7 ,8, 10-11. Valladolid, Spain: Biblioteca de Babel, [1994-1996]. 6 vols.: 20.6 cm; b/w illustrations incl. reproductions of orig. illustrations and comics; stapled illustrated wrappers. Some light foxing on front and rear wraps.

An attractive quarterly fantasy and sf zine with original short fiction and comics as well as editorials on literature and history of the genre. Each issue is dedicated to a particular topic: time, Borges, terror, time, etc. The editors did not steer away from controversial or political content: curiously, No. 8 includes a “contribution” from Chiapas by Subcommandante Marcos, the story of Paticha.
