A very rare collaboration between the TGP, associated with socialism and revolutionary worker's parties, and an organization with direct ties to the US government during the early days of the Cold War and US antisocialist policy. Despite initial mistrust of the new varietals, public campaigns like this one successfully raised Mexico's corn yields dramatically.
