Signed “CHATO” in plate. Poster advertising a feminist lecture series organized by teachers and students from the Physics and Mathematics department of UNAM. Listing the names and titles of the four lecturers and their presentations, including “que es feminismo” by Guatemalan poet Alaide Foppa [shortly before her disappearance by Guatemalan government forces]; “que es el sexismo” by renowned journalist Esperanza Brito; “la mujer en Mexico” by Elena Urrutia; and “alternativa politica” by anthropologist Marta Lamas. The late 1970s marked an important shift in the Mexican feminist movement, as it aligned more closely with other leftist and worker's movements.
