Delightful catalogue advertising the “deluxe” manufacturing process of Fournier’s Etoile candle with a “visit to the factory,” where men and women are shown producing as many as 120,000 packets of candles a day. Photographic reproductions and descriptions of the process surrounded by various Art Nouveau graphics and typography.
Curious final section “Oeuvres” dedicated to health and philanthropic services provided by the company to the workers, including a pharmacy and infant care, as well as primary schools for boys and girls.
Printed for an exhibition, presumed to be the Exposition Universelle 1900, which is referred to explicitly in the introduction citing the Exposition’s official classification numbers [“groupe XIV (industrie chimique)”]. Not found in OCLC.
