Large satirical magazine produced annually in the late 1980s-early 1990s by the TGP during Holy Week. Combines “versos satanicos” with orig. graphics, comics, and political commentary. Most persons depicted are embellished with emblems of the devil; many visual and textual references to the traditions of fireworks and burning large Judas effigies in Mexico City during Holy Week. Covers include an image of George H.W. Bush, Violeta Chamorro, and Panamanian President Endara as co-conspirators in Latin American politics and another against international warmongering and the Iraq War.
Scattered single issue holdings, complete sets only at Harvard, Getty, and UT-SA.
