Rare descriptive trade catalogue for Helena Rubinstein’s Valaze line, with images of two of her NYC salons before they were remodeled and relocated in 1928. Numerous objects from her African, American, and Oceanic art collections are visible. A price index and table of contents at the end. The business address and product line lead us to suggest a date of 1927 with some confidence.
Rubinstein was a Jewish refugee who became one of the world’s richest women through her pioneering work in cosmetics and marketing.
