Vibrant Art Nouveau program advertising the 1906 circus season at the Tivoli theater in Barcelona. That season the company featured the likely subject of the illustration: one of the first female Olympians, equestrian Elvira Guerra (Italian, competed in Paris, 1900). Other important items on the bill: magician Chung-Ling Soo (aka William Ellsworth Robinson); and the incorporation of a cinema projection (Vitagraph).
